Missions
Bethel Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are a part of the Southern Baptist Cooperative program which helps fund Southern Baptist missionaries in our country and overseas. A portion of our giving goes to those ministries. Individuals from our church have gone overseas and we have gone on mission trips as a church family. (Information about these ministries is available through our “Links” page.)
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief
Disaster Relief is Christian love in action, meeting urgent needs in crisis situations. Bethel Baptist is one of sixteen members of the Oregon Trail Baptist Association (OTBA.) which houses a Disaster Relief Mobile Feeding Kitchen in Scottsbluff which can serve up to 3000 meals/day. OTBA also houses a Mobile Shower Unit in North Platte.
The ministry is comprised of trained volunteers, equipped to deploy when natural disasters occur locally, nationally, and internationally. Bethel Baptist volunteers have served during the aftermath of more than 20 disasters nation wide – from hurricanes int he Southeast to local tornadoes, fires, and flooding.
